Lua takes over: everything Yang did, now in a single program.
A note for Piztu users: Lua now includes all of Yang’s features. As a result, Yang will no longer be updated and is being retired as a standalone program.
01 · What’s changing
Until now, Piztu had two programs for creating documents: Yang, the editor for practical exercises and exams, and Lua, for department paperwork. Lua has grown to cover everything Yang did, so it no longer makes sense to maintain both separately.
02 · What it means for you
- Yang will receive no further updates or fixes, and will be removed from the downloads.
- Everything you did with Yang you can now do with Lua: create practical exercises and exams, general or individualised, with the AI assistant or by hand.
- Just one program to keep up to date. Installing and updating Piztu is simpler: fewer pieces, fewer versions and less chance of something falling out of date.
03 · What you need to do
If you used Yang, install the latest version of Lua and carry on working from there. If you have Piztu installed, Lua appears under ⚙ Aula → Modules. It runs on Linux, Windows and macOS, and is available in Galician, Spanish, English and Portuguese.
Lua is free software under the AGPLv3 licence. The code is in the repository.
